The mission of the American Business Women's Association is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.

President's Message:

This is my eighth year of membership in an ABWA chapter that has enhanced my life in a variety of ways.  I’ve formed deep friendship with some incredible women, stepped up to the podium and delivered motivational presentations and now, moved in to the president’s role for the second time.  It goes without saying that belonging to the Trendsetter chapter is a meaningful experience on so many levels. If you have not yet joined us, come to a meeting and see what you think.  My guess is, you will soon be sharing my sentiments.
Here we are in the starting blocks coming off one of the most successful years in ABWA Trendsetter history.  Our bank account is healthy, our membership is up but that pales in comparison to the incredible challenge we were given.  Together we   did it!!  President Cookie led the charge, took the team to new heights, and for that we are forever grateful.  Last year we opened up to the possibilities.  We realized our core strengths, executed and met the gold standard!
We all have dreams for the coming year.  Mine, as president, boils down to some simple wishes for each of us:

I wish that we find the joy in each step of the journey.

I wish that we always stay true to our standards and ethics.

I wish that we make strong unbreakable friendships.

I wish that we each develop a talent we never knew we possessed.

I wish that we extend a smile and a warm welcome to each new guest.

I wish that we always offer a helping hand when a member needs us.

I wish we listen well and laugh, a lot!

I believe we have a strong team in place, all incredibly talented women who have a job to do and know how to do it. The work completed at the planning meeting gave us a map to follow as we adventure through the year.
Now, if this is the part where you are waiting for me to throw down the gauntlet and challenge you to be your best, I won’t.  Why?  Because you are the best you can be.  Every goal you set will be reached, every activity you attempt will be completed, and every step you take out of your comfort zone will be rewarded.
Thank you for the honor to work with each and every one of you.  I look forward in anticipation to a year filled with the magic of our dreams.
